How to Rank on Google Maps in Siliguri: A Local SEO Checklist
A simple, practical checklist to get your Siliguri business showing up when nearby customers search on Google and Google Maps.

When someone in Siliguri searches “pharmacy near me” or “digital marketing agency in Siliguri”, Google shows three businesses on the map before anything else. Getting into that map pack is the fastest way to get calls and walk-ins. Here is the checklist we use.
1. Claim and verify your Google Business Profile
Search your business name on Google Maps. If you cannot find a profile, create one at business.google.com and complete the video or postcard verification. An unverified profile will not rank.
2. Choose the right primary category
Your primary category is the single biggest ranking signal. Pick the most specific one, such as “Pharmacy” instead of “Store”, and add up to five relevant secondary categories.
3. Make your name, address and phone number match everywhere
Use exactly the same business name, address and phone number on your Google profile, website, Facebook page and directories. Small differences confuse Google.
4. Fill every section
- Opening hours, including holidays
- A clear description with your area names (Siliguri, Hakimpara, Pradhan Nagar and so on)
- Services or products with prices where possible
- At least ten real photos of your shop, team and work
5. Ask for reviews the right way
Reviews are the second biggest factor. Send every happy customer a WhatsApp message with your review link, and reply to every review, good or bad, within two days.
Tip: Post one update or offer on your profile every week. Active profiles rank better than silent ones.
6. Add a fast, mobile-friendly website
Link your profile to a website that loads quickly on mobile and mentions your services and locations. Our website development and digital marketing teams can set this up for you.
